Hands-On Training

The fully equipped training centre in Maidenhead allows contractors to familiarise themselves with all aspects of installation, commissioning and maintenance across the entire Hitachi product range, prior to commencing any works. We understand the importance of training in a rapidly changing and evolving industry.

Factory Visits

There will be regular visits to the European manufacturing facility in Barcelona, where contractors or consultants can see first hand, the design, production and testing facilities which ensure that Hitachi products meet the highest standards in terms of quality and energy efficiency.

The great end of learning is not knowledge but action

Air Academy

Hitachi’s aircademy is dedicated to excellence and has recently been updated to showcase its latest ErP – compliant air conditioning and MCS – approved heating products.

All equipment is fully operational and is used extensively throughout the full day, product-specific training courses to enable in-house trainers to deliver practical and theory-based training. This will feature the Set Free VRF and Utopia Splits, Samurai Chiller, RAC air conditioning, Yutaki heat pumps and the CS Net Web standalone control system.

Hitachi also runs a number of CPD – accredited courses and all training is provided completely free of charge.

Air Source Heat Pump Product Training

Since the launch of its heat pump product training course in late 2015, Hitachi’s specialist heating team has welcomed over 700 installers into its aircademy training centre in Maidenhead to get ‘hands on’ with the full range of Yutaki heat pump products and controllers.

Led by Andy Henson, Hitachi heating’s technical engineer and training manager, the course is packed into an intensive one-day course to make it easier for busy contractors to fit training into their work schedules.

“Since the start of 2017 we have welcomed more than 250 heating engineers into our Yutaki product training and we’ll be continuing to run our programme across the summer,” said Andy Henson.

“We’re also training a number of installers from Ireland and Scotland courtesy of our valued distributors in those areas. Getting heating engineers excited about the opportunities presented by air source heat pumps is great for both manufacturers and distributors, and will help get the message out to the domestic market about the many benefits of installing renewables,” he concluded.

The new intensive one-day course runs weekly in Maidenhead. Refreshments, lunch and all course materials are provided and there is plenty of free onsite car parking available.
